Prayer Request

Thanks to the kind help of Sassy Granny who fixed up my resume last week, I have a job interview today. I can write stories but anything more technical is beyond me.

I would appreciate any and all prayers that God would put me in the right place at the right time.

One of the topics we talked about in our writers' group Monday was how to write and work at the same time. I know many of you do that now and that's where the determination comes in.

How badly do I want to write and what will I allow to come in it's way?

I think I went through my grieving period but now I'm excited to see how all of this will work together.

I'm interested in hearing how those of you who work divide your time for writing.

I'm excited for your interview today, and will be praying for you.

Remember, you're interviewing THEM. If they're fortunate, and if they have the right place for you, then you may actually sign on with them.

He goes before you, and then He goes with you!

You got it!

Hope you feel the power as you sit there in the interview.

I once worked 4 part time jobs with 3 very young 'uns to care for, and still wrote. Busy people get lots done b/c you squeeze more juice out of the clock. You'll see.

I hope your interview goes well, Terri. Will say a prayer for you!

I got rid of the t.v. - and I know I keep preaching about it, but it really has freed up a lot of my time that I now use to write.

I am praying for you Terri. The word says, when we pray, believe that we have it and we shall receive, so I am believing with you to receive.

I think the way I have discovered to work and still write, is to make the time. Whether we like it or believe it, we all have the same time, it's how we spend it. I wasted a lot of mine that I can't get back. Now I try to be conscious of what I am doing and make a decision sometimes to just get up from one thing and devote that time to something else that's more important.

It's a hard discipline to cultivate and I fall back sooooooooo often, but I am not letting that stop me. My new mindset is that yesterday is dead and gone and today is a new day to start over.

Hope that helps. Have a blessed day.

Best to you with this, Terri!

I work and write together, in the sense that I'm a stay-at-home mom. Timing and discipline are so hard for me, because of it. I end up writing when I can. But it's important, so I DO make it happen. You will, too!

I like what Sassy Granny said about you inteviewing them. Good luck!

Good Luck! I know returning to the work force can be an overwhelming thing, but I know that God has just the right position for you. I also know that it takes some effort but finding time to write is a priority for those of us who feel the pull toward the keyboard. I only work part time, three days a week and only 4 or so hours a day, so that leaves my Friday's free to do what I want to do. I try to schedule time on Friday's to put something down on paper, but sadly there are times when the laundry or grocery shopping are the priority. It is a struggle.
Good luck on the job front!!!
I will keep you in my prayers.

You can do it; I don't think it's an either/or but rather a both/and. And kudos to our Sassy! She's the best. Can't wait to see where this leads.
