Blogger Bits and Blessings

I really enjoyed the input from the past two days. Many of you confirmed to me the big need out there for meaningful relationships.

Good news about it! Five ladies contacted me about meeting and becoming an encourager to each other and to those in our church and beyond. Please be praying how God will put all this together and make it effective for Him.

I've also been blessed to become part of a critique group this week. I'm excited to share work back and forth. Hopefully, this group will challenge each other to improve our work and get more of it out there.

Finally, I've broken down and begun the edits on my latest WIP. It is slow going but I want it to be good.

I'll be popping around to everyone's blogs over the next couple of days. I hope I read some really good news about all of you.

How have you been blessed this week?

good for you...there are always opportunities out there as we become sensitive to the guidance of the spirit. good luck with editing and your critique groups-some are great others too critical and not encouraging.

I have been blessed by my blogger buds this week. It's always scary when you've been away from a place for a while but my return to my bloggin' corner was warmly welcomed. God Bless them all.

Glad to hear that God is opening doors for your ministry at your church! And you'll have to keep us posted on your crit. group and how that goes.

I finished editing one of my books and sent it to my new agent. She likes it. So that's my good news.

So happy for you and the doors God is opening. And it was so simple to just ask for a little help from your friends, wasn't it?
God always comes through!

When I posted about my dad passing away this week, I was overwhelmed by all the outpouring of love from bloggers, some of whom stopped by for the first time. What a sweet, uplifting group you are!
Thanks for all the hugs and kisses from God sent my way via you!
It really helped!

Sounds like you've got some great things going on! I've missed reading your blog over the last few days...things have been really hectic with the school year coming to a close in the next week and a half! Take care and best of luck to you.

Hooray & kudos for your progress! I know it must feel very satisfying, and has probably opened the door for yet more progress.

Me ... I'm nestled north with granddaughter Rylie while my daughter is out of town. We're having a blast, spelled b-l-e-s-s-i-n-g!

Tomorrow the whole of my family will picnic, boat & swim at the lake. More blast!

Hugs,
Kathleen

A critique group? Around here? Did Alene join your group from church? She would probably love being involved. And I'm glad things are going in a good friendship direction! : )

This is great news, Terri! I'll pray for both the women's group and the critique group. May they both be enriching groups in many ways.

It's about reaching out and making the first move. We've grown accustomed to doing this and have had great success with friendship building over the last couple of years. We invite new ppl to dinner all the time and they accept, come, have a great time and always comment, "Thanks for taking the initiative, thanks for having us, we're having you next" Boom, friendship, connection, new ties made. Lovely posts, Terri!

Hi Terri -

I'm glad you're connecting with other women. Perhaps some of us could take note and reach out to other women.

Like you, I'm in the editing phase. You'll realize how much you've learned since starting the book. It's like getting a second chance at a final exam. :)

Blessings,
Susan

Sounds like you've joined two great groups. I love that friends contacted you to support you.

It's actually been a great week for me. My sister-in-law and her husband came in from Florida to spend a few days. Then the day they were due, my daughter called in the morning and announced she was on her way home to visit. So much fun having everyone here.
