Thank you

I don't know how to say thank you enough for all the prayers I know went out for my husband and I yesterday and today. Thank you so much---you have blessed me beyond measure.

I feel awkward and uncomfortable asking for prayer from strangers. Even though I know what the Bible says about it, I think most of us feel like we need to do life on our own. That if we try hard enough, everything will work out. We pray and ask for help in the big things and when our faith is really tested--we expect the pain to go away quickly. At least that's how it's always been for Curt and I.

Well, I've learned that isn't always the case. For the past year and a half, we've tried everything and anything to get our life back to some sort of normalcy--but nothing has worked. I'm starting to wonder if this is the new normal for us--despite how I feel about the uncertainty that goes along with it. And then I wonder if everything we are doing is what He wants us to do to get us where we should be.

I just know that I want to be where God would have me. Whether it's in Florida or not--I'm okay about it. But what I've discovered from yesterday's many responses is this--not matter where I end up--I've got some wonderful friends to meet. Thank you again.

I think you're very brave to ask "strangers" for prayer. But, though we all are not friends in the traditional sense, we each get to hear about one anothers struggles, challenges and the points in our lives when we all need those extra prayers and boosts of encouragement. I'll keep you and your husband in prayer as you continue on your journey.

life is an adventure...here's to serendipity and new horizons for you and your hubby. don't fear just trust and have faith in inspiration as it comes. we don't always know the end from the beginning but He does.

I would much rather know and pray, than not know and go about my life thinking everything is perfect. what is life unless we are all meant to help and share each others burdens? Thank you, for giving me the opportunity to talk to my Heavenly Father a few extra times! Jenni

Hey there! I'm a day late but I will be praying for you and your husband. The hubs and I have been is some very tight financial situation before(we seriously considered bankruptcy several years ago, but with a lot of diligence and strict budgeting we were able to weather the financial storm) Being financially challenged especially now is so very difficult. It really is a new kind of normal. Even now if the hubs comes home early from work I will readily confess that I have a thought in the back of my head that he has lost his job! It is so tough!
Hang in there! I used to really hate those words, especially when all you want if for things to get a little better!
I will be praying for peace and some discernment and for God to come in and inhabit your times of rest with a peace about the future!

Terri,
I think it's awesome that you're surrendered to following God's will. I agree with Cindy that it was brave to ask for prayer. Life is uncertain, but who knows what cool surprise God has around the corner for you? ;-)

First of all, we are not strangers! We are brothers and sisters in Christ. It is our job to storm the heavens with prayers on other's behalf.
I am honored to pray for you. GOD has big things in store for you. It may be a tough journey, but just wait....you have a prize waiting in the end. GOD BLESS, andrea

I feel most relaxed when I let go and trust the Lord. It's when I start to take it back that anxiety starts to creep in.

Terry, I was in your shoes just a short while ago and I finally just threw up my hands and went with my God feeling. Some people call it gut feeling but I know those instinct feelings I have inside come from God. And since I started doing that, things just seem to be working out. I gave up on my dream of being wealthy because when you come right down to it, I am wealthy inside. I will keep praying for you.

We are family in CHRIST. There is never a prayer that you can not ask for to be prayed in line with God's word.

Love you girl.

Terri, our church has a time for sharing your cares and concerns and joys. I never participate in the asking or offering part, but I always pray for the requests offered. I too am one of those who tends to pray in solitude for myself. Somehow it's easier to ask over the cyber world for prayers for me, and I so appreciate it when my cyber friends take on the challenge along side of me.

You will stay in my prayers, Terri, as a sister in Christ. May He drop a veil of peace over you as His plan takes root for yours and hubby's life.

I honestly think this trial will all prove worthy someday, Terri. I mean, we all know He does things like that, tests people, but I really feel He's got something up His sleeve. You're poised before something, and He's clearing the way for you. Keep your head held high and be faithful, dear friend.

It's incredibly difficult to even admit we're having problems let alone ask others to pray for us. You're a brave woman! I'm so sorry you're going through this right now. I'll keep you in my prayers. (Remember, we all have a strong desire to help others. Whatever you're going through now may be so you can help someone else in similar straits someday.)

There are times when we all need a helping hand and lots of prayer. You'll be able to pass on the blessing to someone else going through life's difficulties.

Thank you for allowing us to come alongside and encourage you.

Blessings,
Susan :)

You are truly an inspiration, Terri. It does take a lot of humbling to ask for help. It's something that is very hard for me to do. I know God hears prayers and I'm sure he has a plan for you. Hang in there. Extra prayers are always a good thing.

BTW..there's someone that comments in Chinese who supports and argues for reincarnation on our blog comments. Just FYI!

Dear Sweet Friend,

My prayers are being said for you and your husband's situation. We are all in this world to help one another and even though we have not met face-to-face, we are all still brothers and sisters in Christ. You feel like an old friend to me and it's easy to feel that way because of Him. Don't ever be fearful or feel funny about asking for prayers. That's what He wants all of us to do, not always by ourselves, but in unity as well. The power of prayers in numbers is awesome. Things can turn around very quickly. You're giving it all to Him, unburdening it and that's what He wants.

I love you dear friend and you can count on me to help you through the storm with my prayers.

Love & Hugs,
Alleluiabelle
