I had really good intentions yesterday. I actually wrote more on my wip and if you veer your eyes to the right and my counter--you can see I made my weekly goal for 60000. That means I should be done by next week.

Maybe.

My day got messed up because of Virgina Kate. I'm talking about Kathryn Magendie's main character in her first novel, Tender Graces.

I've been reading her book in small bits--trying to make it last--but you know you're reading a good book when suddenly, you can't put it down. When I hit about page 243, I couldn't stop. I didn't want to stop. I read and read and as I type this I'm working on the last few pages.

So I had good intentions to get my house cleaned and cleared even more to put the For Sale sign up in the yard this next week. But Virginia Kate called and I had to answer . . .

Don't you wish our writing would make someone want to give up a perfectly planned day?

Yes, that's my dream! My TENDER GRACES Amazon review said, "Call A Carpenter Before You Start Reading...Because you'll need a guestroom for the characterss who will take up permanent residence in your head." (or something like that) :)

Absolutely. I'm about halfway through TG (my post will be up tomorrow), and I feel a renewed sense of determination - because I want my book to be as good.

Oh, yes! I think that's one of the greatest compliments a writer can receive. They don't need the words, no "it was GOOD" or "I really liked it", if an author knows someone couldn't put their book down, they know they've accomplished an important goal.

I love reading a book I can't put down! I'm always thankful for one of those. I let it toss my day around and don't mind one bit.

My kinda living! I know it takes discipline & focus to achieve a worthy goal, but sometimes a serendipitous departure recharges the batteries. Add chocolate and you might just think you're in heaven!

Enjoy.

Those are sure the keepers! And yes, I really do hope that someday one of my books will be like that! I guess that's why we need to be patient and continue to work hard at improving! Great job at meeting your goal for the week!

I LOVE good books that I cannot put down and I almost cry when they are finished.

Terri - Okay, I admit it - I'm sitting here with a smile lighting up all the corners of my face and then some....then there is that part of me that is humbled ..and a part of me that has to blink back emotion --- it is the greatest compliment to a writer ever.

thank you......

I would say that would be amazing.

I don't feel called to write perse, except what God places on my heart for Higher Grounds.

Honestly, my prayer is that it would draw them closer to the Father.

Lovingly,
Yolanda

How rewarding it would be to know that someone loved your work and would not be able to put it down. I know that will be the case with your novel...you are almost there!

Hi Terri. Just wanted to quick answer your question about the daughter I placed for adoption. It was an open adoption and I am still in touch with her family. I still get updates with pictures and letters from both her parents and one from her too. I even got an Easter card from her last year. She has really been reaching out a lot so I know there will be a meeting sometime in the future, just not sure when yet. It's all in God's plan though, so I know He'll let us all know when it's time!
