Living Your Miracle

A little more than ten years ago, a couple approached us about buying an existing Christian bookstore. We prayed about it for twelve months. When I finally heard the asking price, I knew I was experiencing a miracle.

One dollar.*

I almost feel guilty today; because once again, I'm experiencing a miracle. As a writer, I see a miracle every time one of my stories is accepted. Every time someone reads my words, and I make a difference--it's a miracle. Best of all, I'm doing the work I most have a passion to do.

Not everyone is so blessed. Two close family members of mine are working jobs they hate. They anxiously wait for the right opportunity to come along to do what they really want to do.

I'm there all ready and even when I receive disappointing news from a rejection, I try to remember the other miracles of acceptance. Some days I feel positively guilty but then I thank God and enjoy His gift again.

Are you living your miracle? What's holding you back?

*Read the entire story in Women of Passions book.

Every time I sit down to write, I'm living it. But it's not just the writing. My family and my peace are a huge part of the miracle. Okay, and a great cuppa coffee to tie it all together!

I don't know that I ever thought about it in so many words, but yes, I am living my miracle. That I have a husband who feels the same way I do regarding my need to stay-at-home with our daughters is a HUGE blessing, one that has shaped every day for the last 6 years of my life. And that I get to pursue my love of writing all the while? AMAZING.

Oh wow! A $1 for a bookstore? I can't wait to read the story! And I would love to own a used bookstore some day...

I try to see every single day I wake up as a miracle, even if I don't get to write as much as I'd like. When I do, it's double blessings or gravy on the steak!

I've heard the book Putting Your Passion into Print is a good one. Have you read it? I need to check it out.

God has given me the life I always prayed for. I also see the miracle in Kendyl's young life. We are certainly counting our blessings!

Hi Terri!

You're an ACFWer too! Did you get to go to the conference?

Anyway, I've known Bobbie since I was a little kid. She probably knew who I was before I was aware enough to know who anyone was.

Can't wait to read Bobbie's book, and can't wait to read more of your posts. I'm gonna add you to my Google Reader.

OH, YES! I am living my dream, although my dreams, my miracle seems to change and get bigger and bigger all the time. I just have to step up and meet the new challenge. Bliss out! Cher

My children are my miracles. Yes, I am doing a job I really don't adore but I get to be at home with my kids.

Somehow, God keeps telling me "in due time" so I'm hanging on.

I so agree with Joanne, that every time God places something on my heart or urges me to share with Higher Grounds, it is always something that I have already walked through or am in the midst of with HIM.

Oh, and I can smell that coffee already!

Thank you always, for your words of encouragement, they mean a ton! Especially coming from a published writer.

Lovingly,
Yolanda

Terri, you are a real blessing and encouragement with all your posts. You are causing us to look at things in ways that some of us may not have even considered before.

It is a miracle and a blessing knowing you.
