We all know how lonely writing can get. Whatever did writers do before the Internet? Hole up in their rooms and let the dog or cat visit between chapters? Sit in the library and steal a glance at the librarian hoping to make eye-contact and conversation? Yep, a lonely world.
Then along comes this thing called Blogging.
Suddenly, I have a whole new set of fellow undertakers in this process called writing. I have a group of fellow conspirators who hope to crack the mystery of publishing an article, a book or the great American novel.
Some will come and go. I miss a few already. But there will be those of us who jointly pull each other through the trenches and cheer and throw our hats in the air when each of us gets the long-awaited news!
Today I am thanking my newly-discovered Blog friends for going on this journey with me. Thank you for lifting me up, encouraging me, and sharing in all my ups and downs.
Can you imagine the day we meet at some conference or bookstore signing, or Bookseller's show?
Or better yet--Heaven!

You're so right, Terri. My writing wouldn't be what it is today - I wouldn't be where I am - if it weren't for these supportive friendships I've forged online. I'm thankful for them, indeed.
Your scenario about the day we may all meet - under whichever circumstance happens first - brought tears to my eyes. I love that idea. :)
Ah, the ultimate writer's conference! And won't we be happy to finally meet the Organizer? ;)
There's nothing like connecting with others who hear the crazy writing voices we all do. Can't recommend enough a "live" writing group for encouragement and support, in addition to the "cyber" ones.
When I started blogging six months ago, I never dreamed I would meet so many talented women.
I absolutely love the support and friendship of my fellow bloggers. I count it as a wonderful blessing. :-)
It has been really nice to "meet" so many like-minded people while doing something I enjoy so much. Thank you for being one of my bloggy friends - I look forward to meeting you for real one day. Blessings!
I'm fairly new to this blogging world, but I have already seen how it helps draw me out of myself and be social (if I'm allowed to call writing on the computer social). So thanks to y'all for helping me feel less lonely while pursuing my dreams. And I'll be happy to see all of you accomplish your goals as well. AHHH. Isn't it fun to be positive. Fuzzy feelings are abounding now. :)
Blogging is just wonderful! Though I'm fairly new I am so blessed to have "met" such talented and supportive women. Thank you!
I haven't been blogging for a long time, but I have been so encouraged by those I have met.
It's a great help in developing writing skills as well.
Thank you to all my new friends for being such an encouragment.
BTW Terri, you've been tagged. Stop by sometime. It's ok if you've been tagged already.
Blessings,
Vickie
Terri, sounds like so much fun!
I am catching up and scrolled down to the bottom of your page and just noticed that my red dot on your map is huge! Maybe I should stop coming here so that it doesn't eat up your map! :)
You are such an encourager, Terri. I loved Rachelle's thoughts on blogging, although I don't agree with them all. I can't imagine it ever being a bad thing if you're a writer, but it is very time consuming and must be put into perspective with other writing pursuits.
Looking forward to your tips on writing for "Chicken Soup."
peace~elaine
