Countdown

The weather outside is dreary.

But not my soul. Thank you for such encouraging comments yesterday!

I've found it's been a huge challenge to write very much this month. I can't help but want to participate in everything remotely related to Christmas . . . the parties, the Christmas parades, the Christmas shows.

But now that we are getting closer, I'm feeling the need to do at least one more submission before the year ends. Picking and writing one will be my focus over the next few days. (Though I lean to Chicken Soup as they have some awesome titles right now.)

I also want to share what I've been doing with my notebook (thank you Janna) but that will have to wait until my computer is sitting back on my desk. For now, the notebook is out of reach so I will have to write with what I have around me now.

Another question--do any of you still keep your journals up to date or have they fallen to the side due to writing so much on computers? I pulled mine out a few weeks ago and have been trying to make more entries. Couldn't help but browse through some of it. Still nothing like a handwritten history.

I've never journaled per se. I think I channel into my poetry. :)

Thanks for voting for the best "Christmas tree." Everyone is welcome to do the same. http://angie-ledbetter.blogspot.com/

I have my eye on a couple of Chicken Soup stories as well.

*hugs!*

I've definitely let my journaling slide. Need to hop to it!

Oh, I hadn't checked CS's titles recently. Will do that today!

I keep a journal, though I do not write it in everyday. It is something I've been doing for years now and really enjoy. I always have to find just the right one, too, when I need a new one - it takes me ages to pick one out!

Yep, I'm with giddymom - I've tried many times over the years, but it just never takes. I'm glad you've been having a good time this Christmas season. Good luck on the next submission!

I used to love my journal. When I got married though, I ended up putting it away because I realized that I only wrote in it when I was upset, thus all the entries were... not nice. LOL
I've always written in some form or another, though.
Hope you come up with a great submission! :-)

I always keep my journal up-to-date. I love the art of hand writing. I may not write an entry every night but I am sure to catch up on the weekends. I am working on my 15th or 16th journal and already have a brand new one waiting for it's first words.

Hi Terri~you asked (on my writing blog) if I am still writing~yes, I am. Just not so much on that blog! I do have two projects that I'm sending out for consideration this week.

Today I've 'met' several writers out here in blog land and I'm feeling a little more inspired about some possible posts!

I've never kept a journal, though I've always meant to. It's something that I think might help me in my writing, and you've got me considering it again. Thanks so much for the inspiration that your blog has given to me.
