Finding the cold spot

Last night when my husband and I finally crawled into bed, we did as we always do--stretched our toes toward the bottom of the blankets in search of relief from the warm Florida nights.

"Ahhh, I found the cold spot, " Curt said first. I wriggled my feet around searching for my own little patch of heaven. When I finally connected with another piece of cool sheet, I let out my own sigh--much like I did yesterday when I read the comments you all left on my last post.

The header on my blog says I'm an inspirational writer. I enjoy encouraging others on how to balance their writing with their lives. What I forgot is sometimes I need that encouragement myself.

Thank you for being the kind of writers who leave no one behind--even when we are having some down days or dealing with rejections or juggling a change in relationships around us. So many reasons to give up writing. It doesn't take much to throw away the dream.

I got a phone call today about a job--I have to call tomorrow to see about an interview. It isn't the one I'd hoped for but it's a call and that means a way to future dreams. It also means a huge change in my life. Am I up for it?

With friends like you, I know I am.

I'm cheering for you! In fact, you've got a whole team of writer friends cheering you on! You can do it girlfriend! Hang in there! This too shall pass and you'll have a whole bunch of life lessons stories to share with others who are or will be going through the same kinds of trials.

First, I LOVED the cold-spot story. My husband can hardly wait to tell people I'm trying to kill him because of the arctic blast (ceiling fan on high) and cold air (open windows) I insist upon at night.

Second, I'll be praying for you as you consider the opportunity ahead of you.

For sure I'll have a laugh for you tonight when I search out my cold-spot!

May the counsel and wisdom of the Lord lead you and may His favor continue over your life. You are special to the LORD so rest in knowing that He loves you.

*PS. We're like that too with the cold spots. We live in Fl.

Praying for you as well, Terri. You've been such an encouragement to me, and you certainly deserve to be on the receiving end of some encouragement. God bless...

Yeah, girl, you're up for it and more. Remember...you've got prayer power and an "ear to hear" even and especially if it's whispering. Hugs!

Cheering you on! I had to laugh about your cold-spot story. Here in Canada we are looking for a place where the sheets aren't freezing! :)

I'm laughing because here in the mountains I am looking for the warm spot!

I know it's hard sometimes...dang...I mean, who would CHOOSE to be a writer? With the rejection and the lonely hours spent writing? It chooses us and we love it and hate it - like our mothers --

Good luck. And I know that you will be able to balance all things in your life because you know who your ultimate source of strength is.

You'll do great! Maybe even get some fresh fodder for the imagination. :-)
I know what you mean about hotness. I woke up last night in a sweat. Yuck.

I'm usually trying to find that cold spot during the night, even with our cold temps. My feet get so hot. I sometimes have my head almost covered and my feet sticking out.
Will say a prayer for you about the job. Even if it isnt' the one you wanted it may open up doors to another.

I'm with Sassy.. I like to sleep with the ceiling fan on..
I will keep you in my prayers.. this may not be what you are looking for, but it's a start.
My youngest daughter lost her job at the end of Oct. she has interviews about 2 times a week. Being unemployed is not a good thing when you own a house and a car and you are single.
Praying things will be better for everyone SOON!!
