I wrote this great blog post today. Then I deleted it. It wasn't what I really wanted to say after all.
So I'm starting again.
What I really want to say is how amazing this entire blogsphere is. When I go to other sites and see familiar names and pictures, I wonder how it all happened. How did I get to be friends with so many like-minded people? How did we find each other out of the zillions of blogs there are out there?
It's a process, I know. You read something you like that someone said and then you go check out their blog. If it appeals to your senses, then you read more the next day. Eventually, you follow this person who thinks like you do or who challenges you to think outside your box.
I've been blessed to meet so many great people in the past months. I enjoy following your writing careers. I cheer you on and tell others I know about your successes. I wait eagerly for the day when I can show up at a conference, see your name tag, and say, "I know you!"
It's the honest blogs I'm drawn to. The ones that tell me they are struggling too with this writing adventure.
And I'm happy to have found so many of you.

I feel blessed to be able to say, "I know *you*!"

Struggling, huh? Well then I know you feel right at home on my blog. (Grin) I feel comfortable here, but, it's because of your great content and a sharp sense of humor.
It's well...Inspirational!

Amen! I totally agree! Isn't it a huge blessing how we can meet like-minded writers and encourage one another even though we've never met in person? Thanks for your post today! It's SO true!
Blogland seems to be the place which disproves the rule that 'opposites attract' ! :)
I, too am thankful for the blog world. It has become an amazing place of encouragement for me. I thank GOD daily for bringing so many wonderful people into my life and you are one of them.
Blessings and prayers, andrea
It is funny, I saw this right after I started a new blog today. I have some things I have been struggling with and I decided it is time to get them in the light. After I posted it I couldn't believe how honest I was and I am a little nervous about people I know reading it. So then at the top of my reading list I saw your title "honestly." I think the Lord was telling me, yes, it is good to share. It is good to be honest. Maybe other people struggle too. So thanks, I believe the Lord used you to confirm it was okay for me to write what I wrote and post it :)
Terri,
Great thoughts! I have learned a lot from this blogging experience as well, and connecting with other writers.
Here is a writer you will enjoy getting acquainted with (if you are not already): Nicole O'Dell. This is her site: http://nicoleodell.blogspot.com/
Nicole is coming out with two books for teenage girls in August. Since we have two girls, ages 21 and 16, her work is of particular interest to Cheryl and me. Check out her site and tell her I referred you! I'm going to start plugging her work on FB.
Also, I'll tell Nicole to visit over here.

ditto and now I am a creative blog teacher. a year and a half ago I had no idea what a blog was...LOL!
Your blog was one of my first that grabbed my attention when I entered the blogsphere. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Aaaawww Terri,
What precious thoughts. I count myself blessed to know you too. You're one heck of an inspirational writer.
You're a blessing to many!
Hmmm! That is an interesting thought--a blogsphere conference. I would LOVE that...learning more about blogging, meeting fellow bloggers, exchanging hits and clues about blogging. I think that might be a grand idea!
I feel the same way about the bounty of blessings found in the Blogosphere! (how's that for aliteration?) hehe
Drop by and check out my interview with a writer's writer today if ya can. Hugs
And I'm happy to have found you!
:-)
Hi Terri -
You took the words right out of my pen. :)
I'm so happy I started blogging because that's how I met all of you. You've challenged me, educated me, prayed for me, and enriched my life. Thank you.
Blessings,
Susan
I LOVE your blog, it gives me hope for my dreams of writing and....I just found out last week a story of mine has been accepted for publication! My first one! And, I have to say, I was excited to post this on your blog, even though you don't know me, or maybe even know I read your blog, you have help make my dream come true!
Read today that we connect with those best in who we see ourselves reflected back.
I know I am definitely enjoying finding myself in others especially those who are responding amazingly to His truth.
Well my friend, I haven't even started a writing career yet, BUT I am honest. Oh my. Probably too honest.
I'm thankful for my bloggy friends too Terri.
Bless you!

I enjoyed your blog today and appreciaate your willingness to start over. I had to redo one of my long blogs because of some technical error. I believe connecting is one of the biggest draws to blogging. It's the excitement of finding new friends and cherishing the former ones.
Yes, I think that the connections and friendships made are the best part about blogging...at least for me. Yes, I like to learn and I like to share my life, but the friendships with people who love the crazy ride of the writing journey are by far my favorite part.
My Dear Sweet Friend,
I thank the Lord for so many wonderful people that He has put across our pathways in the blogsphere and there is always a reason for what He does.
Thank you my friend for being the sweet, precious, intelligent, thoughtful, inspiring, encouraging woman that you are with a heart as big as it can be. You have been and continue to be a treasure to me. Even though I am not a professional writer, I do love to write my thoughts and my heart and it will always be for His glory.
I did have a poem published in an Anthology called "Dreams Gone By" in 1998 by The Poetry Guild. There was a competition and my poem, which was written as a tribute to my mother, was selected to be published in this book. I was very delighted when that was selected because it honored my mom...so I have great interest in writing and in coming here to read your posts and your comments from every one.
You my friend, are a precious, precious gift from God and He has blessed you with the great talent of writing.
Love you,
Alleluiabelle
You are pretty amazing. And real. Sarah
I have to agree...it's pretty amazing! I'm proud to know all my bloggy friends and talk about your posts to my hubby and friends. It's wonderful to find so many kindred spirits in blogland! It's great to be able to laugh with you, cry with you and learn from you. Truly a blessing!
Big hugs! I love my blog buddies!
It is amazing! I used to feel alone as a writer, now I don't. :-)
Are you a member of ACFW? Even if you're not, there's a meeting in Orlando this Saturday, from 10-2. Twenty bucks. I'm pretty sure anyone is welcome to come. Let me know if you or Donna are interested. :-) I'll give you the details.
We ARE truly in the best of company! I know, I feel the same way as you do, Terri.
Being inspired and simply being accepted as the struggling writer I am by my blog friends is an amazing gift.
God's got a handle on this cyber invention--I just know it!
I have an entire "word" file of posts that never made it to blogworld. I start them and then change my mind so I just never finish them. Once in a blue moon I do go back and delete some and finish others. I am very blessed to know you Terri.
Aww, that was so nice. My sentiments exactly!! It has truly been a blessing to share my ups and downs with you! I am praying for you and your husband every day, that blessings will be flooding your front door and that you will prosper abundantly!
It's so true. I feel blessed to be part of such an amazing community of writers as well. I'm always telling people that. I don't know how writers found the encouragement when blogs weren't around. :) (They probably weren't as easily distracted either) LOL
*smiling at you* -- I just scrolled down after reading your very nice post - it is so good to know YOU, Terri -
and - writing cards! how exciting! tell about it! I am curious!
well, I'll slide on out of here - I hope to spend sunday blog walking and seeing what else I've missed! :)
I've been so very blessed to meet such lovely people like yourself in blogland. You are a true inspiration to me;)
I'm BLESSED the LORD led me to you Terri. You are so encouraging!
I've had these same feelings over-and-over again. The Lord is using cyberspace, that's for sure. Like you, I am drawn to the authenticity of certain sites, not that there aren't a bunch I've not yet discovered.
So glad I found YOU!
Hugs,
Kathleen
