Blogger Bits and Blessings

I've been so busy getting ready to take my hike north that I haven't had a chance to give a few updates.

First: Thank you to Janna for coming up with my new header. She recently redid hers and I asked her how and she offered to do mine. Isn't she talented?

Second: I haven't posted an update about the work I have out. Still awaiting word from one publisher about my romance. It's been three months--that means a rejection is making its way toward me or maybe...maybe...they are considering it or busy with the holiday! And an agent asked for a few months. Well, that time is closing in fast--so might be sad news or glad but either way--I'm okay with it.

Third: I want to thank everyone for the prayers, calls and offers of help for me as I go through this with my mother. I have not felt such love and support in a very long time. It amazes me each day how something technical like a blog and the Internet can bring so many people to another in a time of need. I hope I can be there for you if ever you need someone.

I'll put some posts up when I can depending if I can find the Internet. I'm not sure if they have one in a senior citizen highrise!:))

Blessings!

Terri, I am really sorry to hear about your mom. I am praying for her for complete healing. I am also praying for you that God would give you the strength you need to stand with her. Sickness is not of God, never was and never will be. Don't accept this as a death sentence. See this as a chance to stretch your faith in God and believe Him for a miraculous healing, no matter what happened before.
His wish is that we would prosper and be in good health even as our souls are prospering.
Declare God's word over her every day no matter how things look.

Blessings and prayers
Vickie

Terri,
I pray for safety for your long trip.
It is a difficult time for you, from the time you heard those words from your mother until you can wrap your loving arms around her. You will draw strength from each other.
Praying your mother will beat this cancer. She will live and not die and declare the works of the Lord.

The header looks great. And waiting - wow for me it's so hard. I just read somewhere count every 'rejection,' as a badge of honor. You're walking into your dream and it will click when you least expect it. Praying for you and your mom. Drive safe ok. Nikki

Dear Terri....Just found your blog. I know exactly how you feel about your Mother's diagnosis. I went through similar circumstances with my Mom. My post today, as a matter of fact, has to do with Christmas memories about my Mom. I wish you and your mother well, Terri. Take care. Sincerely, Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com

Terri,
Your new header is beautiful! How nice of Janna to do it for you. WHAT a blessing!

It sounds like you're at a good place with the work you're waiting to hear about. Peace either way is always the best, isn't it?

Praying your mom does remarkably well, that God gives you both great grace, and that He gives you all joy in the midst of hard circumstances, because His joy is our strength.

Oh, and I just read your story in the Chicken Soup Count Your Blessings book--what a good story. I had to smile because God used your tough circumsstances for good. And now you're encouraging others. THANK YOU, Terri!
