I can’t put it down. Every time I open my laptop, my WIP calls to me.
I have to wait two weeks.
Let it cool.
It’s my plan. Wait two weeks. Go to the library , take out the markers, do REVISIONS.
In the meantime, I want to thank you all for allowing me soapbox time on my last post. I rarely climb on it but sometimes it does happen.
I promise I’ll be quieter. (For awhile) And glide around the blogosphere (is that spelled right?) to read your latest and greatest news.

I'm waiting for news on my sister's health that could mean big changes for my family in the coming months. And I'm waiting for word on queries, but I'm starting to lose hope on those.
getting two printouts of my latest finished manuscript which was rejected by the publisher who requested it and sending it off to two more publishers. then I get to wait a couple of months for their response then if rejected again I will self publish!
I'm waiting 'til it's go-time for the first post of my new blogging contract! I'm waiting until my speech is over this week. :)
I'm waiting for...someone to start the coffee pot again. Sigh.

Waiting can be a challenge. On the upside, by forcing yourself not to begin the revision yet, you're allowing your subconscious time to process the story. When you return to it, I trust you'll have clarity and insights that surprise you and a wealth of ideas about how to make it even better.
Sometimes you just gotta say what's on your mind and forget about political correctness.... :O)

For a daughter to make it back to college. Still some icy roads on the way. We didn't want her to go today but ... she had to get back. School, work and a boy :)

Hi Terri! I'm waiting for my husband to pick up some pages I "printed" at Kinkos last night! It's 109 pages of my writings, and I'm having a hard time knowing just how much good stuff I really have in my book, and didn't want to print that many pages on my home printer! I'm all pumped to get going and get that baby completed!!

Two whole weeks huh? That's going to be a test of endurance...well it would be for me if it was a quilt I was waiting to re-evaluate, if there's any comparison?

Haha Re: Sweatpants and sweatshirt. I wear these outside the house as well/I might live in them, haha. I just know that if I worked from home, I would be too comfy to accomplish anything.

Ohhh.. I am in the same boat as you... I'm waiting while my MS marinates so that I can make edits! But the darn thing is calling me too!
Waiting to send off a request for a full on my MS! YEah! But now I have nerves and am waiting for courage :)
I was waiting for a call from the doctor on a blood test I'd taken on Thursday. It came back normal, yea! Thank you, God.

I'm waiting for specific direction from the Lord on several decisions that need to be made soon! But, I know that His timing is perfect and my job is to WAIT, TRUST and REST!!.....(easier said than done!).

Soapbox? I never considered your post that! I'm waiting for a worry free mind. Hmmm...now I'm opening my soapbox! I'm waiting to figure out what to do. Hmm...still action oriented. Maybe I need a lesson on waiting!

I'm glad your letting it cool. I always do that. I try and brainstorm for my next WIP during that time. I hope that helps!
Right now I'm waiting for clearance to send in my proposals. I have three almost done. I'm still tweaking them even though I have no idea what I'm doing. ;)

For the next step...
I have finished my work in progress. It has been edited again and again and I am ready to send it out. Now I'm just searching for a publisher that still accepts unsolicited manuscripts and look like they want the type of story I have. I am trying to get a little more disciplined in my blog posting and every Wednesday I am posting about writing.
If you're having that much trouble waiting to read it again, it must be a humdinger! By the time I'm finished with my first draft, I'm usually more than ready to give us both some space for a while. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and all that!
Don't be quieter. I like your frankness!
Ohhh! The soapbox, I get the pict now. It's some nice looking soap, too, ha ha.
Enjoy perusing blogs and letting it rest. And good luck on the revisions!
There's beginning a stirring deep within my heart for something new... more words yet to be written. I'll keep you posted, but safe to say, I'm thinking of taking a sabbatical from outside interference to get down and get busy with God in the matter.
The writer in us both just can't stop!

It was fun reading your friends' posts here and seeing what people are waiting for. Maybe we are always waiting for something. Waiting seems to be a great learning time. You know, that patience thing being worked out in us. Blessings on your revisions--and your journey.
I need to try doing that sometimes. I'm always writing. Every now and then, though, I go through a period (like now) where I'm just not productive at all. I think that's my body's way of making me rest!
I'm trying not to wait for anything. My goals is proactivity!
Side note: Those soaps in the picture are beautiful.

I'm waiting for payment from a regional publication that bought one of my articles. And, I'm waiting for March when I'll find out if two other publications that showed interest actually decided on using the piece.
