I had a great time at the Writers Group on Tuesday! They offered refreshments, allowed me to choose how and when to speak and then they asked questions afterward. When I got ready to leave, Mary, the spokesperson, gave me a gift bag as a thank you. I don't think I could have been more thankful for the generous spirit and roomful of encouraging writers.
I've sure if someone would have rung the "ah" counter bell, my scores would have been off the chart, but I really didn't care. I was given the opportunity to share and I think I was given more than that in return.
If you get the opportunity to ever visit another writers group--it is worth the trip--mine was.
