A little Help from friends

I don't usually do what I'm going to do now. But I think I've reached the place where I need to. I try to keep most my posts upbeat and encouraging. Today I need to ask for some of that encouragement directly.

Quite a few prayer warriors visit my blog. I'd like to call on you today to pray specifically for my husband and I about our situation. I've shared some of it in pieces. Without going into boring detail, it's enough to say that we are in the middle of the unemployment in Florida and feel like we are drowning and barely keeping our feet on solid ground.

The competition to find work in Florida is awful--double digit unemployment. We've started a construction company and activated our Real Estate licenses--both of which are pretty much worthless for another few years. I apply for work for both of us every day.

We know God has a plan for us but really, it's getting harder and harder to figure it out. It's harder and harder to face each day wondering which direction to go in.

This week we have decided to ready our home to put on the market. I know it won't sell for what we need right now but we would have to do it eventually so thought we would go for it now.

What I'm asking for this Monday morning, is that you pray for a clear cut direction for our lives. That God would show us what we should do, where we should go, how we should survive and that He would give us that strength to then do it.

I know when God's people pray, He hears and I know He then moves. I just need a little help from my friends because we are getting mighty weary here alone.

Thank you for letting me interrupt my blog with this prayer need.

You got it Terri. We just can' understand the 'why' and it drives me nuts. Satan knows all the right buttons to push when I'm that 'trying to understand - what now?' mode. So praying for clear-cut guidance and that God will work all this out for you guys ... like ... right now. Hugs, Pat

God bless you Terri. I will definitely lift up you, your husband, and the direction God has for you. I pray both of you will walk in His favor and hear clearly from Him.

My husband runs his own construction company and I was just praying for him a few seconds ago. It seems that he is always scratching for work for his employees. The building, housing, construction industry is really tight right now (as you know).

Praying!

Love,
Beth

You should move to a medium size (about 30,000)city in the panhandle of Idaho. The recession hasn't hit here, building is still going on, and the place is gorgeous.

I'll keep you in my prayers.

will do...something I've found useful in situations like this is writing myself in a question/answer format and seeing what develops or is revealed. i.e. Q-why is this happening to us? A-write what ever comes then another Q- followed by another A. It certainly is more creative and productive and can lead to new viewpoints and solutions. Try it...remember growth comes through struggles combined with faith in God's plan for our life...

Father God,

You are Holy and You are our hope. Lord, direct Terri and her husband in this difficult time. Give them ears to hear YOU and eyes to see YOU and a heart that follows hungry after YOU. Lord, provide, guide and direct. Amen.

I can so appreciate your situation. I have never had problems finding employment. Adding my prayers to the others, and we know that God does indeed have a plan for each of us.

Sometimes I believe God is really getting many out of comfort zones and making us stretch into the trust we should have for Him.

Love ya, and continue to pray

Oh Terri, I will DEFINITELY be praying for you. I live in Southeastern Michigan and I can truly empathize with what you're going through.

Even if you try to sell your house here, you can't. And don't even think about getting anywhere close to what you paid for it if you are blessed enough to sell. Want a job? So does everybody else. The construction fall-out, the big three auto manufacturers, and the banking fiasco have put this entire area into a weird state of limbo.

Praying for you and for everyone else struggling right now.

Count me in, sister!

There have been stretches of road in my own life that seemed to be strewn with darkness, obstacles and lots of fretfulness. All I know for certain is that God is faithful. He's with you; He's for you!

And so am I.

Hugs,
Kathleen

Praying for you both. God's people are being called upon to show faith and courage like never before. It's a difficult task at times, but with our focus on Him and our praise centered on all He has done for us, we can not only survive, but thrive in the most difficult circumstances. You are a strong woman and Im priviledged to pray for you my friend.

Terri, I will be praying for your situation, for direction, and for peace. Most of all, that you both would be strong in your faith and trust in God's plan. Trust me, I KNOW it is so much easier said than done! Remember that even the wildernesses of our lives are given TO us, FOR us (see Joshua 1:5). It is part of the terrain and journey, but it belongs to us. We are not victims to it.

Praying, friend.

God's promises never fail...
rest in knowing that when you "call to Him, he will anwer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Jer 33:3
My heart was hurting as I read your post...you keep claiming His promises, out loud if you need to! I'm amazed that when I claim Jesus' name out loud over a situation, the evil one WILL flee. Then we can seek His face through the holy spirit...we'll see it somewhere. It may not be the answer quite at the time we expect but he will not give anything that you're not strong enough to bear...so, we praise him as we are being refined for we KNOW He wants the BEST for us as his people!
Name it and claim it!

Dearest Terri,

My heart is with you and I pray for God's divine wisdom and total provision for you and your husband. I pray for DOORS to open that will bless you both in Jesus Name! I pray for comfort and peace for you and your husband so that you can HEAR GOD in the midst of this storm. I pray for your faith and hope in Christ to NOT waiver and for an increase of your HOPE in the Lord during this time. I pray for your bodies and minds to stay healthy and for your marriage to remain strong in the LORD.

I not only pray but I praise the LORD in advance for what I know is being worked out for your household in the spirit realm and will MANIFEST into the natural.

I love you Terri and Peter and I are praying for you and your husband.

I'm in Orlando. Let me know if you need ANYTHING!!! I mean it!
