Thanks for your help!

Thank you everyone who commented on my query yesterday. You helped me see many things I could improve on it. One --not make it so unclear. Get rid of the last sentence. Two--not make it so depressing and Three--don't start my sentences with And or But. Never used to but started seeing it done that way in some books and it slipped into my own habit.

I'm judging a contest this week so I'm keeping this short. I also know that so many of my fellow bloggers are getting ready to go to the ACFW conference this week. Wish I were going! But I am looking forward to some great pictures and some great meet-ups from all of you.

I'll end with this: My favorite dessert is Angel Food cake. I've tried one from every store in the area and found that Wal-mart has the best. No one can outdo them. The others are dry and lack that vanilla taste I so love.

The genuine cake is worth my seven mile commute to purchase one.

All of you are like my Angel Food cake. No comparison. Nothing artificial. The real deal.

I appreciate you:) Thanks again!

I'm glad you have more clarity on your query letter. I know it's going to turn out great. I am sad about not going to the conference too :( But I can't wait to hear about everyone's experiences.

Will have to try that Walmart cake! Thanks for your comment today. I should keep those scriptures in my head. It's just been one thing after the next over here. I appreciate your support and concern so very much.

I've been away for too long and am enjoying catching up here.

I wanted to let you know that a friend in my writers' group is in the Christmas Traditions book. She brought the book yesterday to our meeting and I saw your story. "Hey, look! My friend's in here too!" I exclaimed. (Sorry I didn't get a chance to read the story.)

Thanks for the tip on the Angel Food cake. I wonder if its the same one that's in Sam's Club.

Good luck with your contest judging.

Blessings and prayers,
Kelli

Contest judging has got to be tough. I don’t envy you the task, still, someone with principle and skill is needed do to the job. That’s you. Good luck there.

Ice cream makes anything better. You want dress up that AFC, stick some ice cream on it. Drool.

But there's not a thing wrong with the way you began those sentences. And another thing...
