Love on the Range

My Photo

I have been converted.

Me...the person who hardly ever reads historical romances.

I also rarely write about my writer friends on my blog but time has passed and so many of my friends have their first books out. One of those friends is the sweet Jessica Nelson.

We met while I lived in Florida after connecting on line. She and I and another write friend met over dinner a few times and shared about our writing experiences, dreams and hopes.

Jessica's dream has come true. Her first book has been published and I am excited to write about it here.

How many of us are waiting for that day?

Well I know her perseverance paid off as I read her book and yes, have been converted from a contemporary only girl to the historical genre.

And that isn't easy to do.
So if you are looking for an excellent read ---- Please pick up a copy of Love on the Range.

You really will be glad you did.
Please visit Jessica at  http://jessicanelson7590.blogspot.com  and tell her hi! Oh and did I mention that she's tall?

I am towering tall, aren't I. :-) Terri, thank you so much for this lovely post. I'm going to miss meeting up with you but hope you find lots of writer friends in TX. It seems like I know a lot out there. *hugs*

Her book is at Walmart! Wow...so cool! I have a friend who writes for Harlequin and it's so much fun to see her books on the shelf at Walmart, Target and Barnes and Noble.

I love historical novels, and although the contemporary romance isn't my favorite genre, I'm always interested in a good historical one. This looks like a good one. Congratulations to Jessica! And thank you, Terri, for the shout out for your friend. And thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Golden Movies post. It's nice to see you today, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

I wish I could add another book to my growing pile. Across from me sits a mountain of material I've yet to dig into. I just keep buying books, favoring one subject over another. Right now I've got several non-fiction pieces going simultaneously. No wonder I have trouble selecting a subject about which to write!

So glad you're having a life adventure in your new realm. I've no doubt many a rich sentence will flow from your pen as a result.

Occasionally I'll delve into historical fiction. I like the setting of this one.
